Will Martin – Managing Director /Owner

Having worked as a freelance instructor for many years, Will retrained and attained a degree in 2012. The aim was to open his own climbing centre in his local town and bring his passion for climbing to his local community. An outdoor adventure enthusiast, Will can usually be seen around the locality cycling, running or down the Bridport Leisure Centre, working on his overall fitness…..

Mel Martin – Company Secretary /Owner


Mel is completing her instructor training at the moment but is experienced in her own right with groups and business management. Wife of Will and integral part of the business, Mel can be found covering nights to allow Will an evening off with the young ones regularly. Mel has recently started her outdoor climbing career and is making good progress on the rocks.

Keiha Dhruev – Route Setter /Outdoor Instructor /Squad Coach

Bouldering beast and outdoor instructor, Keiha assists with Rockburn’s route-setting, outdoor events and is the driving force behind our new Youth Development Squad. Amongst his many exploits is representing the UK on Beast Master in the USA. One of his great climbing passions is Deep Water Solo – not for the faint hearted!

Kevin long – Instructor / Route Setter

Having a passion for outdoors, Kev has worked for various companies and Outdoor centres in Dorset and Hampshire. He began climbing at 8 years of age, abseiling down the famous Nine Arches Viaduct spanning the River Derwent in Wales, and has since received personal training from the likes of Leah Crane and Libby Peters. Kev recently studied at Winchester and Chichester University for his BA (Hons) Outdoor and Adventure Education and, with hundreds of climbs logged and a comprehensive amount of experience tutoring both climbers and instructors, now joins Rockburn. ‘Kev’ fervently looks forward to all Rockburn’s adventures.
