ROCKBURN GAMES CAFE

Starting from the 1st November 2025, the Rockburn Games Cafe will have it’s board games available to use. There will be between 30-50 games available with more being added weekly. A full list will be included on this page in due course.

How the Games Cafe works..

  1. there are set evenings per week for Chess, HeroQuest (Max. 5 players per board = 10 in total) and Dungeons & Dragons role-play group (Max. 6 per quest). These will be run thoroughout the year with any exceptions listed at the right of the table below.
  2. our board games will be available during all open hours for use by Games Cafe members. Available games will be able to be booked out for you and your friends or family for a nominal fee of £3 per player: all proceeds from the Games Cafe being re-invested in new games and replacement parts as required.

Who can play?

Rockburn Ltd will create a basic account for all Games Cafe members. This is to comply with our Duty of Care for persons using our premises for organised activities. This involves name, contact number, email (optional) and a photo for staff identification.

  • over 18’s
  • under 18s supervised by a parent/guardian

Responsibilities and Agreed Usage

  • When booking items out, it is the responsibility of the booking person to ensure that all items are treated with respect and maintained in suitable condition.
  • Games are to be used for their intended purpose and parents are expected to honour this and encourage fun but responsible play with their children.
  • Damaged parts are to be reported on return of the game. If damaged due to improper use, a replacement cost for required parts will be discussed with parents. If damage occurred via accidental circumstances, replacement will be paid via the Games Cafe.
  • All parts borrowed for use are expected to remain on the premises. Any missing parts will be communicated on borrowing a game (if they are game critical, the game will be withdrawn from service until it is complete) – please return in the same condition as borrowed initially
  • There is no time limit involved but the Games Cafe only operates during our Standard opening hours. All customers will recieve a 15 minute reminder toward the end of standard operating hours.
  • Only food and drink purchased onsite can be consumed in our cafe. Please do not bring your own into the centre.
